Educational Programme for Visitors, serving Volunteers, Expatriates and Diplomats

There is a lot to do in Nepal in the way of extra-curricular activities. At weekends or on holiday you could participate in many different activities. Some of them are mentioned below:

1. Talk Program: Talks are organized on Friday evenings on different topics. They familiarize you with different issues about Nepal. Some of the topics are as follows:

• Religions of Nepal
• Hinduism in Nepal
• Buddhism in Nepal
• Caste System
• Gender and development, and / or women’s issues
• Environmental situation and challenges
• Socio-econimoc situation and challenges
• Political history and current political situation
• Globalization and Nepal
• Rural development in Nepal
• Daily life practices

 2. Movie Show: Movie shows are also organized which are educational for foreign nationals.

3. Cultural Tour: A tour could be organized to see historical, religious and interesting places with a professional guide or a non- professional guide within the Kathmandu valley and outside Kathmandu. A tour of village could also be organized to learn about village life style.

4. Village Stay: Staying in a village is a wonderful way of learning about the life of village people, their economy, family structure, food and overall standard of living. It could be on night and tow days to several days to suit your convenience and time availability. You could combine language training with it for a more fruitful and wonderful stay.
